Infant constipation

Constipation is something everyone experiences at some point, especially babies starting solid foods. An occasional case isn’t usually a concern, and the natural remedies in this protocol can help. However, if constipation becomes chronic, it’s important to consult a doctor for further evaluation and identify the underlying cause.

Hydration is Key:
Make sure your baby stays hydrated, and if you’re breastfeeding, offer the breast whenever they seem hungry or fussy. Do not offer water to exclusively breastfed babies because it can throw off their electrolyte balance. For formula fed babies, consider switching to a goat or sheep milk formula.

Gas Relief:
If your little one is struggling with gas, try Windi by Frida Baby. It’s a great tool to help relieve excess gas and encourage a bowel movement.

Probiotics for Gut Health:
If you’re bottle feeding, start with ProbioMed Infant Sticks and follow the instructions on the label for the right dose. For ‘on-tap’ breastfed babies, you can also apply the ProbioMed powder directly to your damp nipple before a feed, 1-2 times a day.

Consult with Your Healthcare Provider:
Always check with your doctor before adding any supplements to your baby’s routine—especially if new symptoms pop up.

Consider Seeing a Pediatric Chiropractor:
Gentle adjustments from a pediatric chiropractor can really help get things moving. We used this approach with Monroe, and it made a huge difference!
