Ear pain and infection

Ear infections are super common, especially in little ones, and most of the time, they’re viral, which means they can often be treated at home. They happen when fluid or mucus gets trapped in the ear and gets infected. Kids are more likely to get them, especially if they’ve got a cold or allergies, because their Eustachian tubes are smaller and more horizontal, making drainage a bit tricky.

If you notice your child tugging on their ear, crying, or running a fever, it could be the start of an ear infection. But don’t panic—most ear infections clear up on their own within a few days. If the pain doesn’t get better after 10 days, though, it’s a good idea to check in with your pediatrician.

To help your little one feel more comfortable, I love using Mullein Garlic Ear Drops—they’re fantastic for soothing ear pain and helping with discomfort. If the ear discomfort is accompanied by a cold or congestion, check out this protocol for more comprehensive support.

Make an Appointment with Your Chiropractor:

And here’s a tip I swear by (yes, I’m biased, but only because it works): a visit to the chiropractor can do wonders. A gentle adjustment can help your child’s ears drain properly and might even prevent an infection altogether.
